About Us

A Space Born From Music, Built for Community

Kiss My Brass was created by musicians and artists who wanted to give back to the scene that shaped them. Our vision? A place where music, storytelling, and creative expression come first — not pretence or polish. With its old-school guitar-shop charm, welcoming crowd, and open doors to all forms of art, this space is made for local connection, collaboration, and creativity.

We’re here for the first-timers and the long-timers. For spontaneous jam nights, passionate performances, and ideas that don’t fit the mould. Whether you’re sharing your work or simply soaking it in, Kiss My Brass is a home for people who live and breathe creativity — and believe in building something real, together.

Our Location

Find us in the heart of Marrickville — just 200 metres from the Metro.

Kiss My Brass is located at 59 Sydenham Road, Marrickville, in Sydney’s Inner West — one of the city’s most vibrant cultural and music hubs. With Sydenham Station just a short walk away and plenty of nearby street parking, we’re easy to reach whether you’re heading in for a gig, grabbing a drink, or planning your next event.
Surrounded by some of Marrickville’s best breweries, vintage stores, and late-night eats, we’re part of a buzzing local scene that thrives on creativity and community.

What’s On

Live Gigs, Open Mic Nights & Creative Events
There’s always something happening at Kiss My Brass. From intimate acoustic sets to genre-themed jam nights, you’ll find a steady rotation of live music, spoken word, open mic takeovers, and pop-up exhibitions.
Weekly open mic nights bring together first-timers and seasoned pros alike — and you never know when an impromptu jam might take off.

Saturday nights feature relaxed acoustic sessions, perfect for easing into the weekend, while Sundays start with smooth jazz in the morning and build into soulful funk by evening — the ultimate wind-down with a groove.

The Venue

A Flexible Space for Gigs, Workshops & Art
Our venue is split into three unique zones:

  • Front Bar, Café & Shop – Laid-back, walk-in friendly, and perfect for casual drinks, day-time acoustic sets, or post-gig hangouts. Bar & Café & Shop — and yes, all the guitars in the cabinets are for sale, starting around a thousand bucks.
  • Back Room Venue – Holds up to 150 people with an intimate stage, great acoustics, and a floorplan ideal for EP launches, showcases, or ticketed gigs.
  • Upstairs Rooms – Soundproof spaces available for private rehearsals and tuition rooms for music teachers to conduct one-on-one lessons.

Want to hire the space? We welcome artists, collectives, and promoters to bring their ideas to life.
